Chaley Hamilton is the registrar for the Police Training Institute. For additional information regarding courses, to register for a course, request a transcript, or replace a certificate, please call her at (217) 333-6522 or toll free (866) 808-9140.
All courses have a limited number of enrollments so register early to ensure a seat. Appointment papers must be received by PTI to confirm registrations for Basic Law Enforcement and Basic Correctional Officer courses. Registration may be made only by departmental personnel. Students may not enroll themselves.
If it is necessary to cancel an enrollment, please do so at the earliest possible moment. Officers are deprived of needed training because of last minute cancellations or “no shows” in courses which are fully enrolled.
Transcripts
To request a transcript fill in the form on the left, and include a personal check or money order made payable to the University of Illinois for $5.00 for one transcript and $3.00 for each additional transcript. Transcript requests will be processed within 3 business days and returned by mail to the address(s) provided. Mail your request to:

Duplicate Certificates
To request a duplicate certificate fill in the form on the left, and include a personal check or money order made payable to the University of Illinois for $3.00 for each replacement. Certificate requests will be processed within 3 business days and returned by mail to the address(s) provided. Mail your request to:
