Police Firearms Instructor

Today’s Police Firearms Instructor is charged with a variety of responsibilities. Two of the most important are teaching and maintaining basic gun handling and marksmanship skills. A cost effective and very efficient method for addressing gun handling skills will be taught. Instructors will return to their agencies ready to manage this critical need. Each student will learn various teaching methods that they can use to remediate basic and combat marksmanship skills. Shoulder mounted weapons to include shotgun and carbine will be covered, and students will leave with a template for teaching these important police weapons.

  • Low Light Shooting Programs
  • Shoulder Mounted Firearms to Include Shotgun and Carbine
  • Teaching the Semi-Automatic Pistol (gun handling and marksmanship)
  • Selecting Police Firearms and Ammunition
  • Developing Cost Effective In-Service Training Programs

It is recommended that students attend the Police Tactical Firearms course prior to the Police Firearms Instructor course.

Master Firearms Instructor certification requires completion of the following courses: Police Tactical Firearms, Police Strategy and Tactics, Police Firearms Instructor, and a one week Master Firearms Instructor Apprentice Program.
