Law Enforcement Transition

Academic Credit | Reporting Instructions | Transcripts

 

This course is designed for: (1) those police officers who were employed as part-time officers and now want to become employed as full-time officers, (2) officers who have completed the distance training program, and (3) former Illinois officers who have not been active in law enforcement for a stipulated period. The purpose of the course is to reinforce previous training in critical duties and responsibilities, as well as introduce concepts that may not have been examined in previous training.

The course integrates units of instruction into a realistic approach to law enforcement training. Current issues and real life problems will be addressed. Students will have opportunities to apply knowledge and practice skills by actively participating in exercises.

• Illinois Law
• Control & Arrest Tactics
• Patrol Response and Investigation
