Control Tactics Instructor

This course will focus on the teaching of the information, techniques, and tactics taught in the Control Tactics course. Emphasis will be on acquiring the methods of instruction and teaching techniques that will enhance the learning process.
All student instructors will engage in the coach-pupil method of instruction during drill sessions in order to ensure their ability to properly teach others. The Use of Force Model and "mindset" training will be covered from the perspective of the instructional methods needed to teach the information effectively.

• Coach-Pupil Drill Training
Master Control Tactics Instructor certification requires completion of the following courses: Control Tactics*, Control Tactics Instructor, and the Master Control Tactics Instructor Apprenticeship Program.
* The Control Tactics course will not need to be taken if the PTI Basic Law Enforcement Course has been succesfully completed within the past year.
